The NH1 News Network on WBIN-TV 18 in Concord, New Hampshire has made changes to the network’s anchor lineup.
Effective today, veteran New Hampshire broadcaster Charlie Sherman will begin co-anchoring the 5:00pm and 5:30pm newscasts with Shari Small. Sherman had previously served as the station’s weekend anchor. Small has been anchoring the 5:30pm broadcasts since WBIN launched NH1 News in September.
The 6pm newscast is seeing some changes as well. NH1 News Political Director Paul Steinhauser has been named co-anchor of the broadcast alongside current anchor Keke Vencill.
NH1’s top rated 10pm newscast will remain anchored by Keke Vencill and Paul Mueller. Mueller was recently named NH1’s Chief Investigative Reporter, and will continue anchoring the 10pm broadcasts while working on investigative stories.
However, these anchor teams may not be permanent. NH1 News tells Boston Media Watch that the station continues to evaluate Nielsen data and field research to identify the preferences and interests of New Hampshire news viewers in order to determine the best formula for great content and ratings.
