John Cuoco Joins WHDH as Freelance Reporter
Emmy award-winning journalist John Cuoco has joined WHDH-TV 7 News as a freelance reporter.
John comes to Boston from WDJT-TV CBS 58 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was a reporter and multi-media journalist for 4 years. While in Milwaukee, John covered many stories, including the Sikh Temple Shooting, the Iowa caucus, as well as the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. John also reported for CBS 58’s weekly franchise Milwaukee’s Unsolved Bank Robberies. In 2012, John received an Emmy award for Video Journalism.
Prior to working in Milwaukee, John served as a nightside reporter and fill-in anchor for KXXV-TV NewsChannel 25 in Waco, Texas. He joined the station in August 2009, and covered many stories including the shootings at Fort Hood and racism claims at the local VA hospital.
John got his on-air start at KRHD-TV ABC 40 in Bryan, Texas, where he was a reporter and multi-media journalist. There, John covered a helicopter crash on the campus of Texas A&M as well as the capital murder trial and death sentence of Christian Olsen.
John served as an intern at 7 News in 2007. He is a Boston native who graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.
