Céline McArthur Promoted at NH1 News
Céline McArthur has been promoted to weeknight 10pm anchor at WBIN-TV’s NH1 News in Concord, New Hampshire. Céline originally joined NH1 News as an investigative reporter in April before being promoted to anchor of the network’s weekend 10pm newscasts.
Céline announced the news on Facebook, saying, “Just anchored my final *weekend* show @ NH1 NEWS. Joining the anchor team on the BIG show: Weeknights at 10PM. Starting this week! Wow.”
Céline joined NH1 from Jacksonville, Florida, where she most recently served as a Strategic Communications Consultant who designs strategic multimedia communication plans for entrepreneurs, entertainers, educators, and political leaders across the country.
From 2009 to 2012, Céline was the Associate Vice President of Strategic Communications at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
Previously, Céline was a News Anchor and Chief Investigative Reporter at WJAX-TV (then WTEV-TV) CBS 47 and WFOX-TV (then WAWS-TV) FOX 30 in Jacksonville, Florida. She originally joined the station in 2000 as weekend evening anchor and investigative reporter, but left the station in 2004. She joined KVUE-TV, the ABC station in Austin, Texas as a Medical News Reporter.
Céline returned to CBS 47/FOX 30 in 2005 as the weekend evening anchor, and was promoted to morning and noon anchor in 2008. While at CBS 47/FOX 30, Céline won multiple awards, including the Governor’s Award for Excellence for Outstanding Contribution to Criminal Justice.
Céline has also held news anchor positions at WBRE-TV in Scranton, Pennsylvania, as well as at WICZ-TV FOX 40 in Binghamton, New York.
Céline graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism, and received her Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Public Policy from American University in Washington, DC.
